So yeah.... apparently I've lost all ability to perform my role each day.
I have if you'll believe what the Senior Management at my employer have to say on the matter.
It seems I now need to consult with a "consultant" if I need to install a server in a rack.
A rack I have been responsible for for the last 12 years. The only rack with space for a server in the pokey cupboard that is our "comms room".
A server which has only been guided onto rails, had 2 power cables attached and been briefly powered up to make sure it did so. No network. No mouse. No keyboard. No monitor. Jesus...even no hard disks installed.
But after 12 years of service and servitude. ...I am now a dick.
Ive made my displeasure known to said Senior Management. When I say management.....well.......loafers with no motivational skills. Quite the reverse. If demotivation were a sport....I would be surrounded by Olympic and world champions.
But I digress.
